This version however, reflects a few weeks of work so it should be assumed that the loco is in post open day condition, in the period prior to it gaining white stripes etc. The lack of a BR double arrow is deliberate, as all the photographic evidence I have seen suggests that this was prototypical. If Im incorrect, im 100% certain someone will soon let me know! One was done by a well known model shop, and the other was done by me during June 2009. The correct version is of course the version on the left. The one that came as a commission from a 'professional' is on the right. It has the incorrect headcode style, no skirts around the buffers, no 'Welsh' headboard brackets, no frostgrilles and has lamp irons next to the tail lights. 56004 56004 56004 56302: Professionally produced transfer sets from Fox. Believe it or not, it took the best part of a full working day just to get the transfers on. A quick call to Fox Transfers offered some very usefull advice however. Great customer care from them. Decal sheet even supplies the small notices that sit along the bottom of the bodyside. Informed guesswork however is the method of application! 56303: Simply stunning loco after about 4 days of solid work. Its going to be difficult to let this one go.... 56303 No1 end, 56303 56303 leads an unfinished 56302 56302: Marker/headlights on. 56302 56302 56069: Two colours down, three to go. And thats before the weathering commences. 56069 56074: This is what 56074 started life as. This mess had sat in my local model shop for over 2 years so i accepted a bit of a challenge! 56069 56069 56069 56069 Sitting on it's new chassis, this is now at a standstill awaiting the special roof mounted orange lights. Oh dear. I didnt even bother trying to sort this mess out. Ive never seen paint peel off a model quite like this! 56074 before I got to work on it. A 'bargain buy' from my local model shop. He had it for sale for over three years! This is now 56074. This respray was sentenced to death. Carried out on 12th December, 2006. R.I.P I may well be wrong, but i have a feeling i have seen this before on another website. Plenty of work to do round the tail lights if they are ever going to look right again.

As this is too modern for either of us, this was done as a purely speculative enterprise. The set comprises of Heljan 47709 Dionysos, five Mk2 and one Mk1 coach, tailed with Lima 47712 Artemis. Unlike the real thing, we are assured by the new owner that both loco's work well together, and still have not caught fire!
