Thanks for taking the time to have a look through this collection of photographs. The models featured are either my own or those that I have done for others. Also included, are a couple of projects which have featured in Model Rail or Rail Express Modeller magazines.
I am able to perform a number of commission type resprays over the coming months at sensible rates - Prices start from £35.00 for a renumbering (varies dependant on loco type and manufacturer), whilst resprays start from £75.00 upwards. Return postage is NOT included. Please contact me for further details and an individually tailored quote.
Please note: I take great pride in my work, hence this website. I am not an eBay trader, and I do not belive in "knocking out rubbish like sausages", one after the other. If you are not fussy about how your renumbered or weathered loco should look, then please feel free to go elsewhere. My rates reflect the quality of work and I do not ever compromise on either.
Best Wishes

This gallery is updated fairly frequently, with the content being added as and when locomotives are completed. The photos are here for a few weeks, prior to being filed in the relevant collection by class and number order.

A few photos of some of my resprays at home on their owners layouts. Many thanks to all those involved who have sent these in to me, as once locos leave here I tend never to see them again!

My first attempt at the major DRS style reworking of a pair of class 20 locomotives. Some parts simply did not exist and had to be made from scratch, others had to come from various suppliers.
This is not a rapid conversion job, the first pair shown here taking over two months (on and off) to do. Although the conversion was not helped by major work going on at home, these are still time consuming to do and difficult to get right.

 | 28th Sep 2009 | Class 44 (2 images)
Not a popular class by the looks of things, as this is the sole example I have been asked to re-create so far. Anyway, till I am asked to recreate some more this is 44008 Penyghent modelled shortly after the open day at Toton in 1979 when it recieved at least a partial repaint, with white tyres and red backed nameplates. This version however, reflects a few weeks of work so it should be assumed that the loco is in post open day condition, in the period prior to it gaining white stripes etc. The lack of a BR double arrow is deliberate, as all the photographic evidence I have seen suggests that this was prototypical.
If Im incorrect, im 100% certain someone will soon let me know!

 | 29th Mar 2006 | FM Rail 'Blue Pullman' set. (13 images)
This was a joint 'operation' with a freind who supplied the rolling stock with me supplying the labour, paint and transfers. As this is too modern for either of us, this was done as a purely speculative enterprise.
The set comprises of Heljan 47709 Dionysos, five Mk2 and one Mk1 coach, tailed with Lima 47712 Artemis. Unlike the real thing, we are assured by the new owner that both loco's work well together, and still have not caught fire!
For extra realism and a bit of a chuckle, we couldnt resist filling the leading cab of 47709 with 'drivers' in orange coats.

Some of the heaps that have arrived here for repainting, and in some cases quite comprehensive repair work.

 | 31st Jul 2007 | What might have been.......... (7 images)
A selection of 'summer madness' (now the sun has finally come out) locomotives that came about due to too much sun, beer or time.
Before the rivet counters get all excited, these locos are a complete figment of imagination but all of them 'feasible' sights, particularly on April 1st.

| I have been painting models for 27 years now and have been involved in painting real loco's such as 37308 between April and July 2000. During my spare time, I have been known to drive real trains which is of course what pays the mortgage. Im based in Eastleigh, and thanks to the current economic situation have a bit more time to work on model projects.
